The Workshop is proud to open our 2024/25 Season with a production of the acclaimed “Glengarry Glen Ross” by David Mamet. The play provides a brief snapshot of the quintessential American salesman at the tail-end of the 1980s, and paints a picture of greed, idle cruelty and a warped concept of what gives a life value and meaning.
Taking place over a tumultuous twenty four hours the play exams the motives and actions of Aaronow, Levene, Moss, Roma and Williamson as the pressures of cut-throat business practices and financial desperation forces a change in their circumstances – not all for the better. A play demanding of nuance and a deep understanding of character, it promises to be a thought-provoking and engrossing evening out not to be missed.
