We are delighted to announce that The Actors’ Workshop Youth Theatre Company will be closing our 40th Anniversary Season with a production of Shakespeare’s “Julius Caesar”.
A story over 2000 years old, Julius Caesar is a tale of honour, of passion and of ambition. Shakespeare’s version – retold here with a setting and perspective as timeless as its themes – tells the tale of the individuals who took terrible, necessary action and bore the consequences.
Our young cast find the honest humanity in these apparent ‘villains’ of history, and explore the motivations, decisions and destiny of characters struggling with these millennia-old questions; Do these bloody ends justify the noble means? Does truth matter when passion is so much more persuasive?
Doors and Bar open from 7pm, show starts 7.30pm
